Elvis Isn’t Dead

A cult figure in the state of Iowa, Greg Suckow has become a field fixture for University of Iowa football team, the Hawkeyes. A lawyer by day, locally known as Hawkeye Elvis, Suckow’s appearance each Saturday – adopting the likeness of the King – stands for more than just an act. Dressed in custom costumes crafted by his mother, who attends the games alongside him, through his Elvis persona, Suckow takes on a character burned into memory – embodying the past in a bid to slow the progression of his mother’s dementia.
